We carried out the complete renovation of a 30-metre relay tower on the outskirts of Csesztve. Most of the paint had peeled off, and over the decades many non-functional cables, antennas and units had been left on the structure.
First, we removed the redundant equipment: a small truckload of mounting brackets, cables and antennas came down from the tower. The structure was cleaned by wire-brush grinding, then coated with a two-component primer and a red-and-white topcoat. The paint system meets the ISO 12944 C5 corrosivity category with high (H) durability.
The work was carried out using rope access techniques. Video of the project: YouTube
